Made for the Paul Hobbs Winery in Sebastopol, CA, this was our first job for Backen Gillam Architects and supervising architect Jessie Whitesides. It was a very successful project contrasting the blackened steel surround with a stainless insert. This feature also marked the first time we built a vertical burner which is it’s most striking and original feature.
This style may be reinterpreted in different sizes and materials. Burners are separate from any sculpture but are designed specifically for each fire feature. They are always removable for servicing and may be customized to BTU’s between 50,000 and 500,000+.
